The movie will get a number of nominations in technical categories including Cinematography, Visual effects(it's in the Oscar top 10 list), and even art direction !!

I'm happy she's a Golden Globe nominee. Now does she have a chance at winning? I'm not sure what the voters usually go for here. I'm hoping she at least shows up. This is big.

They may give her the Golden Globe since she can't be nominated for an Oscar, but I still think that "Safe & Sound" is the favorite (and that's not just because I stan for the song - that's unbiased perspective too).

Skyfall is going to have a hell of a time competing with Life of Pi, Cloud Atlas, The Hobbit, and The Dark Knight Rises for the technical categories.

"Skyfall" is eligible for the Academy Award for Best Original Song.

Also, is there any correlation between the Golden Globes + The Critics' Choice & the Oscars?

Ah - I didn't see the news yesterday. Interesting. Taylor still has it on lock, especially with the momentum she has going for her career in general.

Critics' Choice Awards are pretty irrelevant; The Golden Globes can be a precursor to the Oscars, but are also often not.
