2007 American Idol Winner Jordin Sparks has confirmed to Billboard.com she's already working on her debut album. "It's going well," Sparks says of the album, "We've had some meetings, and the other night I recorded a song. I can't tell you details or anything like that, but I am very excited about it." Jordin also confirmed she has teamed with production team Stargate on the album and will spend a lot of her time on it throughout the summer and into the early fall. Here she describes the CD:
"Sparks says she wants a "radio friendly" album that mixes the pop/rock sound of inaugural "Idol" Kelly Clarkson with the R&B edge of Beyonce. "It's hard to get at what my sound is," Sparks notes, "but I think that's what I'm trying to get."
i can't wait. i swear with her vocals she could be the next Mariah, and as she grows older and her voice will continue to progress and grow. Ahhh I can't wait!
