The best argument would maybe be during her Stripped (arguably her peak in terms of artistic acclaim) days, But even then Beyonce and Britney where still curb siding her career. When she debuted it was obviously Britney. During Back to Basics she got overshadowed again by Beyonce and others again like Kelly, Nelly, Fergie and even Gwen to an extent and of course Amy Winehouse got more acclaim then she did for virtually doing the same damn thing. Bionic she was forgotten about and Gaga ruled and lorded over her, so did Katy and Ke$ha. Basically Lotus is being overshadowed by Rihanna and others, yet again.

She was the top bitch in late 2002/early 2003, since no other pop girls were doing anything.
She may have perfect, but she was still overshadowed by Gwen, Fergie, Nelly Furtado, etc. She has always been overshadowed by someone. Whether it was Britney, Beyonce, Rihanna, Gaga, etc.
She's never been the "top"girl.
Britney really wanted it though.
