I would have liked to see him sell more but I think everyone's right about him having longevity.

Almost everyone's #s have been terrible lately, so I consider his sales healthy. Not great but could have been way worse.

Look at the rest of those album debut sales. Glee's Christmas Album with 35-40K? The second highest debut 2 weeks before Christmas not even breaking 100K? Sales are the pits right now.

Why is it not affecting Taylor, tho? I am not buying she is only selling to teens (which is the most lucrative demo) explaination.. 1D and Bieber are bigger teen idols and fail to get close to her numbers.

Point is...you can still sell if you put out quality material.

The obvious explanation is that her album is very alternative/hipster friendly. These type of albums are the ones that are selling right now.

I hope he can pull the 160K and not the lower end 140K. I completed my album on iTunes for 5.38 yesterday. He is very worthy of a #1 album - every song on there is and he is the only solo male pop singer slaying the game right now.

"You're Still The One" is better than any song on Red, though.

Except Rihanna and Alicia Keys.
