Nobody said "Till The World Ends". It will easily outsell "Hold It Against Me" and "I Wanna Go" (throw "If U Seek Amy," "Gimme More" and "Piece of Me" in there too) because it's going to sell at the minimum 2 million copies.

But we'll be able to come back and laugh (& witness predictable meltdowns) if it continues to have this longevity in 2013 and actually does end up outselling "TTWE".

I still wish will.i.am had given her a bigger part in the song, it's annoying as hell that she's the main reason for the song's success and people KEEP asking if it's her singing in the song and saying that she barely sings. You have Britney Spears featuring on your song and you give her a couple of lines to SAY?

I HIGHLY doubt she'll ever do 500K+ again, the only way I see her doing that is if she had Taylor/Gaga sized promo.

I'm predicting 200K-300K first week for her next album if released in the holiday season and with (as usual) hardly any promo, and maybe 300K-400K with a lot of promo. Sales are completely **** now.

I had an argument with Kworb in SYG recently about the possibility of S&S outperforming Womanizer worldwide.

That would be the ultimate JOKE. A will.i.am single outperforming Britney's hugely hyped comeback single.

And if it did we wouldn't really be able to say the song's success is due to Britney anymore since it'll be her biggest single since the ITZ era and it will be clear that people just like the song.

Ok guys seriously:

1) The Circus era >>>>>> The Femme Fatale era ... thats a fact , it wasn't even closed. (although I prefer FF album).


2) The only bad thing about the BBMA performance was the one with "Nicki Minaj" .... otherwise her performance with Rihanna was cool, yeah the playback issue was a bit awkward but the overall act was good, it was a good performance, and they acually had chemestry on stage and matched very well with each other.


3) For album 8: Is not about the quantity of promotion and making nonstop bunch of promo .... its all about the quality and substance of the promotion ... showing enthusiasm , energy and being in shape while you're promoting, you know, selling the product and the music ..... because if she is going to do a bunch of promo with the same attitude of the "FF era" all that promo will be completely useless.






PS: I would be happy and relieved if "S&S" debuts at #3 in UK ... because that would mean no matter if "The X-factor" winner released or not his song, "S&S" wouldn't debut at #1 anyways.

1.7 million? It will happen. I predict the song to be at 1.1 million after the big sales boosts (if sells 120-125k next week). Definitely Platinum either way. And it will continue to sell good enough January and February to clock another 500-600k easy. These facts are in everyone's face and y'all ignoring it.

It would not be embarrassing anyway. "BOMT" sold in a completely different market, its sales are great for its time and cannot even be compared to the market 14 years after its debut. Doesn't make any sense, unless you're just LOOKING for something to be morbid about.

I don't see this success as embarrassing at all. X Factor + this song is making Britney "cool" to everyone again. I have been told by several people they like this song and Britney looks good in the video. The Beats commercial is helping really well with that. No matter what, she's staying trendy and that is important.

Whether someone sees it as a Britney success or not, it proves Britney needs to go back to more Urban, "cooler" sounds and not the teenage pop - which is what is important. The song's success is nevertheless keeping her HOT. "Gimme More," "Piece of Me," "Womanizer" and "Circus" (well the latter kind of bombed worldwide).. but the first three all have a Rhythmic lean to them (as does "Scream & Shout") and connected to the audiences globally. So I hope she see's that.

you guys are forgetting FF opened with ~270k in MARCH, one of the slowest sales periods of the year with the promo performances being some of the worst ones she has ever done and looking probably the worst she has in her career (at least during the album promo for sure). if anything, it turned the general public away from buying the album, so i still believe that her promo actually hurt FF's opening sales.

She can still do 500k+, the reason the album sales have been **** this year is because there have been no big releases, except taylor or 1D

FF was also coming off of the Circus era while Britney's next album will be coming off FF - a flop album. She's not doing 500K+ first week again when FF couldn't even sell over 800K in TOTAL.
