LOUD is at 6.5 millions ( the album passed the 6 Million mark back at the end of 2011 *acccording to mediatrafic* when BTW was still struggling to pass the 5 millions), proof it's still charting in the UK and selling 5k worldwide per week ( 70 in the UK/ireland itunes chart wheere BTW is nowhere to be seen), go to Rihanna's album receipt threads for Album sales estimations as im not the appropriate person to confirm anything. Not trying to shade born this way chart performance, it did more than great but stop bringing other artists down to make your fave in a higher/better pedestale.
I STAN for both Gaga and Rihanna and both girls r DOING THEIR THING, so stop with your nonsense comparisons.

Who is this to talk not to bring down other artist
you're the one tried to bring down BTW sales when we all know that mediatraffic doesn't take into account many sales from asia countries where Gaga is huge there.
struggling to pass 5m? you're kidding right? It has long passed 6m and supposedly at 7m if you're going by ESTIMATION (since you're talking about estimation now). Gaga is touring around the world. Do you think sales has not increased since end of 2011??!!! BTW will not forever stay at 6m, especially when BTW Ball is still going on. Stay pressed tbh

According to Mediatraffic
BTW
2011 - 5.4mil
2012 (first 8 weeks) - 404k
Total - 5.8mil (as of 8th week of 2012)

That because nky0411 was trying to discredit LOUD's chart performance and make it seem like BTW did better, when the only thing that BTW has over the LOUD era is the TOUR receipts. and LOUD has sold 6 millions according to MusicCharts and that was at the end of 2011 and we are at the end of 2012 so half a million in a year is a pretty fair speculation. We all know that an album can keep selling even if it's out of the mediatrafic/MusicCharts list when it's still present in several charts, and that was LOUD's case as it still present to date in the UK/Ireland/france charts, and the abum could have been at 8 million easily if it wasnt for TTT being released.

Good that you know an album still can sell even if it is not charting on Mediatraffic top 40.
since the sales data are coming from the SAME SOURCE and you say BTW 6.8 is inflated, then LOUD 3m in 2010 +2.7m in 2011 are inflated as well.
EDIT: and sorry for OT, never meant to go so far if the "Rihanna verified STAN" didn't start it

If we talk about the singles departments then yes Rihanna releases pop records, but releases as well Uban records, but i do agree that they only get US treatment, except Man down and What my name.

Well, I guess. Rih is a good balance between pop and urban, thats the formula that works for her. She can have her Birthday Cakes and she can have her We Found Loves.Beyonce doesnt have that balance because she is like 90% R&B. Only one of her albums was pop and that was Sasha Fierce (her worst album).
Dangerously in Love, Bday, and 4 are all R&B. I just think Rih and Gaga have an advantage because they are more pop than B is

and what legit source you're going to provide?
This is universal music group PUBLISHED data, which is the best estimate we can get.
you can go as far as you want but i'm not following your ride for sure since it is pointless

I 100% agree, and that what i was stating since this thread started, that otheer artists like Gaga and Rihanna releases pop records and that why they r more global, Beyonce's image is mainly Urban, and that why she lacks that global apeal, but let not forget the race card wich plays a big factor here...im sure Rihanna would be Double succesful if she was white, same can be said about beyonce.

true. black artists always have to work twice as hard & plus they have to appeal to 2 crowds: urban and pop.
any black artist who is thought to have abandoned urban gets dissed (usher, nicki minaj, etc.)

are you sure race does play a role in deciding success ?
Cause imo them being black is unique, and that's the thing i like about them.
If beyonce and Rihanna are white i probably won't like them as much as i like them now
edit: ok, maybe that's the case in US, but in asia it doesn't make a difference

But I thought Beyoncé was the most local of all the local girls according to Atrl because her stale RnB music is not appealing. So why are you wondering why gaga (the most global popstar right now) is bigger?
The fact that people will actually bother so much. I mean 18 freaking pages?

You all want to show now if this artist has sold 0,5 a million here and half a million there, this ins absolute infantile and childish.
What we can consider is that if we see the solo albums of Beyonce and Lady Gaga, that the sales go album after album down.
Let's wait what we see on sales with their next albums, I predict this will for both artist not a day to celebrate.
