Newt Gingrich: "Republicans can't compete with Ms. Clinton"
Quote:
WASHINGTON -- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton regularly brushes off the idea of a 2016 presidential bid. But if she were to run, at least one prominent Republican thinks his party would be completely outmatched.
"The Republican party is incapable of competing at that level," Gingrich said during an appearance on NBC's "Meet The Press."
"First of all, she's very formidable as a person," he said. "She's a very competent person. She's married to the most popular Democrat in the country; they both think [it] would be good for her to be president. It makes it virtually impossible to stop her for the nomination."
In addition to having Bill Clinton's support, Hillary Clinton would also have the backing of President Barack Obama, who will still be a "relatively popular president," Gingrich added. "Trying to win that will be truly the Super Bowl."
Most people agree with Gingrich's assessment. A recent Washington Post poll found that 57 percent of people would support Clinton as a 2016 presidential candidate.

He's revolting and everything he has said since the election has been so disgustingly transparent. I would love for him to win the nomination just so Hillary or whoever could just walk to the presidency.

He's delusional. Hilary Clinton has absolutely no chance of ever seating her surgically sealed ass in the Oval Office, and anyone who thinks otherwise is either a.) fooling themselves b.) simply not politically savvy, which is fine, or c.) stupid.
EDIT: He is, however, right about the inability of the Republican party to make themselves likable like the Democrats do. They've got image problems.

Well, I am none of the above and my girl, HC aka BOSS BISH, has as good of a chance as anyone for being elected in 2016. The fact that one of the biggest conservatives from the Republican side said this is very telling because the Dems already knew this. IF HC wants the Democratic Party slot for 2016, she'll have it. I think an amazing ticket would be CLINTON/CASTRO 2016. It would pave the way for one of the Dem's up-and-comers, Julián Castro to get experience and exposure to the DC politics.

That's nice, but the US just isn't ready for a female in office. As forward thinking as the minority of us like to think we are, it's just not happening yet. She'd have an incredible time stirring male voters, the majority of which will not glance twice at a woman of her age who looks the way she does.
Personally, I feel neutrally towards her, but I'm just making observations. If it does in fact happen by some miraculous twist of fate, then we'll be able to say we have a woman in office and that's about the extent of it.
