I must say I don't think it was Britney's fault the ratings decrease ... I mean they brought "Justin Bieber", "One direction" , "Taylor Swift" and "Ke$ha" ... and they did absolutely nothing for the ratings .... the problem are not the stars featured on the show ... I think the problem is the show itself. 
so Britney should not comeback ... being on a low rating show is bad for her image and star power.  |
American Idol was down 30% with The Voice in the same week. There are only so many singing show fans, and watching two in week is a bit much for most. Then you had monumental multi-week scheduling stuff up's which finished it off.
(Although since when is a 2.9 demo that bad?, the AGT finale got 2.4)
