A special hosted by multi-award winning journalist Soledad O'Brien (with personal related experience) examines important issues of racial identity in an increasingly multi-racial/cultural world. The special explores biracial identity, and the process by which an individual identifies themselves as "black".
This looks incredibly insightful, and shows how deep racial issues stem within specific communities. I'm not black myself, but I will definitely be watching as I find within ethnic racism to be apparent in almost every ethnic group unfortunately.
I wish they would stop with these. Race hardly means anything in modern society anymore.
You must be incredibly naive to believe that.
Racism is still alive and well, and exists within ethnic communities themselves. For instance, the obsession within ethnic groups and having lighter skin versus darker skin.
Omg, I feel for the girl who said that she's mixed with black & white but has never said she's black. She'll always say she's white or "Black & White". I do that, but it's the opposite.
I have some white in me, but I will always say I'm Black if people ask if I'm White in a rude way @ school 'cause I'm light, or I have a little white in me.

I'm proud of my black.
It was sad when the author indicated she would be reminded by society about her black ancestry, and despite being biracial, she'd be treated like a black person and undergo that experience -- even if she doesn't identify as black.
I don't agree with all those other dummies. This isn't a true representation of blacks and I don't think they're even doing it right. Blacks are oppressed. Racism lives. Black in America on CNN is just dumb however.
