I have semi done it. My friends acted like I hadn't even said anything, they knew all along and were unbothered by my announcement. It was so refreshing to tell them. But my parents don't know although when a gay rights program came on TV my mum said I support them fully, so that was a sigh of relief to know I wouldn't be disowned.
I've never felt the need to announce anything. I like girls a lot more than boys, but I still find boys perfectly attractive and am open to one being stimulating to me on a personal level. I just don't really think it's something I need to announce.
