Yeah but lets be furreallllz Judas's release and subject matter was a mess And it was risky. If she ever released something like Judas as a LEAD I don't even know.
She was the first artist nominated three years consecutively since The Beatles, and the only female since Barbra Streisand, with all three studio releases she's recorded so far. It's easily the one she has the best shot at if ARTPOP is good.
If ADELE doesn't release anything this year then she has a pretty good chance at snatching a few grammys in 2014.

Sonically "Judas" would have been the perfect lead single, perhaps only being outdone in it's eligibility by "Scheiße". But I agree that the subject matter may not have worked in her favor as a lead single.
Album of the Year, Song of The Year and Record of the Year
With ARTPOP
We can only dream.

Hopefully. She has the disadvantage of being a pop artist though.
It probably will be #1 at least a month. "Born This Way" got 5 weeks off hype alone and then a sixth thanks to physical sales.
Now rules change to include streaming and sales ratio are lower. Dunno about the radio support this time... but first two weeks sales can make her stays on top BB100 though.

It wasn't even the subject matter, but the metaphor...

I think streaming will hold her back, personally...
Labels have been really dumb about releasing material to Spotify. They'll probably leave her off hoping to squeeze more sales out of the debut hype.
