And I don't get to see plenty of acts not local to my country because it's not financially feasible for them to just do. There are literally hundreds of Japanese and Korean acts that I will never get to see, and even if they do come to my country, people fail to realize that I can't just set a foot down in NYC and magically end up in California - it's not quite what people make it out to be all the time. Plenty of us deal with it and settle for less. We occasionally might make remarks about it, as we're entitled, but we don't have entire armies dedicated to spamming away comment channels sometimes even WHILE an act is in our country (see: Gaga's Twitter replies).
There's plenty of American acts I don't even get to see in my own country because it's not that simple. If someone's touring from Washington to Texas or something, that means nothing to me in NJ/PA. And I cope. I use local culture, I enjoy the content that I can, and sometimes I settle for less or just end up waiting.
