I came in here just to say exactly this. I mean, EXACTLY this. Do we have ESP or something?

I would normally probably say "yes", but considering how bad 2011 was, this was a big improvement, so I've been quite pleased with 2012. I think 2013 could be even better.

Yes for mainstream music, most of the #1's were horrible... But in other genres it was great, however I wish sales for Lotus, Girl On Fire or Little Broken Hearts were a little better, so the GP would know about them.

Y'all always say the same:
A year ends and you say that it was **** because pop was generic, trash, boring, etc. Specially because either your girls weren't on the scene or they flopped.
But you always say that the next year is going to be amazing and it's gonna ****, because your girls will be releasing something.
Then the cycle repeats again.

Yes, but it was okay. I enjoyed Kesha's, Carly's and Pink's releases.
But Rihanna's and Nicki's material disappointed me. One More Night and the majority of this year's hits are not worth being remembered. I can really only see myself listening to SFTTR five years from now.
Nothing really new from Katy either.
So there were a few high points for me, but many low points.

Lana was the best thing to come out of 2012 for me personally, but we had so many good songs and artists come out this year like Frank Ocean, fun, Azaelia Banks etc. It was a pleasant surprise for music.
Just because Gaga/Beyonce/Britney didn't release anything doesn't mean that it was disappointing. 2012 allowed me to discover so many new artists and older ones.

Yes, I was hoping for certain celebrities to die this year & they didn't. Kinda pissed me off.
