Not to mention most of the award shows this year flopped in ratings, I'm not saying it's totally because Gaga did not attend but that was obviously one of the big reasons. She has a massive following and is just too big to fade away/ be forgotten that easily. The first single will debut with huge numbers based on her name alone, that's a given. I'm only worried about the era's longevity.

Calm down, sis. No one is saying she has been forgotten, but we cannot deny she is not in the public eye at the moment.
I never said anything about her fading, though. I know ARTPOP will do well because she still has a huge fanbase. The Ke$ha comparison made no sense because Ke$ha doesn't have that many dedicated fans.

I'm fully aware. Read the last page

Yeah that was the point of my rant.

Even before the panels expanded, she was overshadowed on radio by the Black Eyed Peas, Flo Rida, Kesha, and even Rihanna.
That's the way it has always been. Even when her singles weren't necessarily radio flops.

She's doing better than all of them though even without the huge radio support

There's not really a big difference though between 1 and 2. Especially when Poker Face was whoring radio, She had been on the radio for so long by that point I don't even know how you could consider it being "overshadowed". Sure they all reached number 1 and one of them essentially blocked her from number 1. But all of those singles still had their time to shine respectively, even if you weren't paying attention to those charts.

This worries me, tbh. Gaga's highest AI is, like, half of Katy and Rihanna's average AI and that's scary. I hope she gains more crossover appeal during ARTPOP.

But if she had radio support, BR and Telephone couldve went #1.

That's true too, she tends to burn out super fast on radio now a days. There's literally almost no longevity.

is it that bad? I'm not well informed on how her songs have been doing on the US radio.
This needs to change with ARTPOP.

Rather more radio support. But yeah it seems she's always getting blocked by those with more radio support. Sucks doesn't it

Sales wise, yes.
But in terms of overall charts, with the Hot 100 actually reverting back to an airplay chart (as it was circa 2004), they're actually trying to make sales less relevant.

It's not horrible so to say, but it could prove to be bad when she gets to her second or third singles on the album.

Maybe if Gaga does infact release ARTPOP in 2 volumes, she could have that commercial support and continue to do some experimental stuff, did she already scrap that idea?

If I remember correctly I think she did scrap the idea of having it as separate volumes but I think she said that she would continue to use the APP to share unreleased music with us from ARTPOP. So we may end up getting a 2nd volume worth. Which is equally satisfying. Personally, I think anything that she doesn't want to commercially release should stay on the app, so it doesn't mess up her sales.

WHY FAILBOARD WHY
Sales are more accurate. Imagine if this change happened when Katy was pumping out singles

No double release please.
That will seperate sales and two VOL album sales wont be combined, also nominations of both volumes will be ****ed up. Not even mentioning the GP who will be confused and wont pay attention to Part 2.

She needs a "relatively" safe single to put her back on the chart summit, something right off of The Fame/Monster. It might surprise people just like Die Young did, with people expecting a huge change.. I'm thinking, at least.

I would say so myself. Maybe not like Ke$ha though, but something that still has Gaga's signature sound while sounding fresh.
