A burnt out star that was in her rebellious/pre-self destruction phase.
She felt caught in a mold and she was screaming to be free and independent.
Her team new it would push fairweather fans away but Britney wanted to do it.
I think it showed how lonely she was and heartbroken. It's sad because Kevin just got really lucky. He was at the right place at the right time.
Although people make fun of how "stupid" they thought she was. She actually showed some insight it's just that her state of mind was disillusioned.
I remember her believing that the Kevin thing was a hookup set up by dancers because she had seen alot and learned when things were not right.
Sigh...I wished she would have listened to her inner voice instead of letting her loneliness kill her...you see what I did right there?
Anyways, I cringe at the moments where Kevin was pretending to be sincere. That fake cry at the end of the last episode had me in prayers for Britney. I knew that he was no good.He played on her rebelliousness by making her think that her team was trying to control her by being against him so it drew her to him even more. Can't say i blame kevin as any guy would want to hookup with the hottest pop star of their time. He just should have appreciated it and realized how lucky he was and treated her the way she deserved to be treated.
I miss 2003/4 Britney, though she was out of the canned teen pop schtick and becoming more and more relatable. I just so happened to be in college when In the zone came out and I will forever remember that period as her personal and professional breakthrough.
Nostalgia
Oh and my conspiracy theory still stands: Kevin was an industry guy put in her life (set up) to come in and throw her off course and bring irreparable damage to her image. I am so convinced as many industry people are so thirsty that they peddle drugs for artist and do crazy things. They will bring you up to tear you down and Kevin's laughter about her questioning him on if the relationship was real says it all for me. Oh, well. What's done is done
