. Control isn't even entirely original in itself as you can hear the sound was hugely influenced by prince & michael. literally every song on that record could have went to either MJ or prince.
. Just because someone incorporates new jack swing like janet doesn't mean they completely ripped her off. What next Don't Be Cruel by Bobby Brown was a ripoff of control because they both were in the same genre
. Like I said again janet took more from michael, as the sound on her debut was made possible by her big brother innovating it through "Thriller".
. Lastly if were going to talk about recreations. Rythm Nation took some notes FROM Bad. "Black Cat" sounds like "Dirty Diana Part 2". "Come Back To Me" copied "Liberian Girl Part 2". "Love Will Never Do Without You" sounds like a MJ reject song. And let's not get started on the rest of the album.

Too many similarities from ONE routine to be a mere coincidence.

"Nasty" ------> "Bad"
"When I Think Of You" -------> "The Way You Make Me Feel"
The approach to these songs is very similar. The edginess and "in your face" attitude of "Bad" is reminiscent of "Nasty". WITOY and TWYMMF lyrically approach is similar.
"Bad" was pretty much MJ showing the world that he had an edgy side. Something Janet already accomplished with "Control". Diddy even commented that when Janet released "Control", we finally had a Jackson with some edge. Shade. MJ always had a boy-next-door persona from his first album up thru "Thriller". It wasn't until Janet had a breakthrough that he tried to compete and show he could be 'edgy'.
You may not want to admit it, but MJ was influenced by Janet from 1986 until his death. The sad part is nobody notices, and/or wants to admit it for fear that 'his inferior' just may have been a little further ahead than him.
And please don't get me started on
RN1814 Part II Dangerous.
