Maybe if you lived in the United States you would care more about real stuff more than Paris Hilton .

There's plenty of shows dedicated for entertainment news; Access Hollywood, Inside Edition, ET, The Insider, etc.

Personally, I'm thinking about trying a full 2-3 weeks of getting my news from BBC and the Christian Science Monitor (not really foreign, but I've heard a lot of positives about their articles) just to see the difference. I'll still watch my local news and the headlines from the TODAY show, but nothing else.
