With the music industry declining so rapidly, things are becoming a lot more centralized. I honestly don't see a place for her in the current music landscape anymore. It sort of feels like everything's been done before, so what's Madonna going to do that will shock people/differentiate her from other artists? I'd love to see her truly come back though.
A group of individuals overrate the MDNA situation SO much, she had albums there were more critically panned and commercially unsuccessful in the past, and it didn't hurt her career in any way. At this point on her life, she can release 10 flop and bad albums, and nothing will change for her.
She's an amazing artist, and if she focus on making a really great album, she will make a really great album.
Exactly. At this point all her next albums can flop, that's not going to change her situation or statut, she's not a new pop girl anymore, she's an established legend. She has nothing left to prove.
I just hope her next album will be more artistic, i know she can do it if she want.
No. If every artist stopped to create works after one or two unsuccessful projects, where would we be? Artists should keep trying, failure or lack of success shouldnt discourage them
Also, because you may find something mediocre doesn't necessarily mean it is. While neither Hard Candy nor MDNA are perfect by any stretch of the imagination, I for one think they're both still better than quite a bit of the stuff that's been released by... okay, never mind, I don't wanna be one of those people who retaliates on the first artist they see in a person's avatar.
But yeah, neither one is that bad. Just middling at times. She absolutely should keep on making music until she no longer wants to, which is hopefully never, but I would appreciate it if she did something totally left of the middle next time around.
As long as she wants to do it, can do it, and has inspiration to write songs, I say let the woman release albums.
