Skyfall has been well received by critics and its premiere smashed a lot of records in the UK, and is number one in other countries, it has not even premiered in the US yet, is it possible, given its the positive response to the film, get to the 1 billion box office mark??????

Skyfall is currently at $872,433,656 and still going strong worldwide breaking all kinds of records. So the billion milestone could still be on.
In its home country of the UK it has now overtaken Avatar as the highest grossing film of all time with over $150 million! Wow thats huge. It's also the biggest film of the year in France where Adeles theme song is especially huge. In the US its already by far the biggest Bond film ever with $250 million and could even hit $300 million.
It's currently the 3rd biggest film of the year globally behind Billion dollar blockbusters The Avengers and The Dark knight rises. This film is a gigantic success and has shattered the previous Bond record of $596 million which Casino royale held in 2006.
