I think he released the album just to see how many toilet jokes he could do, and whether he would still be successful at it, I mean it did still sell an assload of copies. So he pretty much made Encore for the ***** and giggles.

He was also doing a ton of drugs at the time as well, so those songs were retarded because he was drugged up.

It's not funny, though. Eminem had made plenty of comedic songs before it (My Name Is, The Real Slim Shady, Without Me) but those songs were, you know, witty. And clever. And they had a point.
