Just a few years before this tragedy, Eminem released The Eminem Show to good reception, and had one of the biggest hits of his career, "Lose Yourself." Then all of a sudden, he releases this. Do you think the plummet from greatness and acclaim to an absolute joke is one of the quickest falls from grace ever? Has there ever been a song this bad by someone who was still "hot"?

How is this a fall from grace? This song was hilarious and a top ten hit and one of the most requested videos on MTV.

Only BET got mad for the Michael Jackson part

But they still showed it on UNCUT

he just wanted to have some good ole fun after hating on his mother and wife for three albums

I think he released the album just to see how many toilet jokes he could do, and whether he would still be successful at it, I mean it did still sell an assload of copies. So he pretty much made Encore for the ***** and giggles.

Ass like that was a total jump the shark moment too. all in all he just got bored and decided to rap about toilet humor topics.

Oh God. This song is so annoying. That ahh ahh ahh part.

It's generally recognized as the stinker of his career, and the moment he stopped being an amazing artist.

The song was called "Just Lose It". And Eminem just lost it.

All of the sudden, Eminem had become everything his critics always said he was—witless, unfunny, obnoxious, and trying too hard to shock. And what was shocking about Eminem when he first came out is that he genuinely seemed as angry and violent as he came off. You could tell right from the beginning of "Just Lose It", though, that Eminem wasn't trying anymore.

MC Hammer? Michael Jackson? Beavis and Butt-Head references? How sad is this? If he made a Lorena Bobbitt joke, it'd actually make the song more timely!

After the unmitigated disaster that was the entire Encore album, Eminem wisely decided to sit out the rest of the decade. After a flop attempt at a comeback, Eminem finally regained some kind of form in 2010. He's still not as good as he was in his prime, but at least he's not this."

I hate Eminem, but like this song so...

Really? I thought that was Relapse.

I feel like Encore was solid. Like Toy Soldiers, Mockingbird, Mosh, etc - it had some of his most heartfelt and politically charged work. And Ass Like That was a BOP. There were a few WTF songs (like Puke... da **** is THAT), but I still feel like it was generally liked. It sold like 13 million worldwide!

It's not that bad, but he's definitely done better.
