It isn't discussing who is the most significant country artist. it's discussing who is the most significant country artist based on a certain criteria. In this case, that criteria is Carrie's ability to attract a diverse audience.

It isn't talking about sales, critical acclaim, it isn't even talking about total attendance at her shows. It's talking about the healthy mix of people from different demographics who attend her concerts. So bringing up the opening week sales of "Red," awards, et al is irrelevant.

Blake for country radio then yes but overall I still say no. There are several males who are still more important then him.

I don't believe so, just after she married Blake and had the hit of career they treat her like she is the finest piece of ass to have ever graced Nashville. I don't know why critics and awards are trying to shove her down our throats, but it's not like she's the most liked artist in Country. She doesn't even get big hits after the massive era that Revolution was. Even thought commercial performance does not equal to impact or quality, I'm quite unsure she's actually that loved, at least by the public.

She's really not. It's just her team and Country execs trying to make it seem that way.

totally off topic, but this just makes me even more excited to see her in concert.
