Clearly they have no taste in movies

Also keep in mind the Hobbit is a children's story so it's not going to be as serious as Lord of the Rings. Unless they go off book, then yeah.

It should do well in the end, Lord of the Rings fans will watch this regardless.
I'm expecting it to be compared to the trilogy and come off as a less interesting movie, though.
