Well, maybe you aren't going to represent your educational endeavors here, but I stan ya, so I will:
(Incidentally, what do you think of the ordering of Celine > Kelly > Adele? I wasn't entirely sure on Celine > Kelly > Adele and started thinking that perhaps I should rearrange that.)

Anyone who doubts why Mariah and Whitney are two of the greats need to watch at least 5 mins of each of their videos.

In terms of vocalism, Kelly > Celine (but not by much). Celine suffers from her disgusting nasality, poor coordination of registers, bad intonation etc. I find Kelly to be slightly ahead of her in an octave of sound (G#4-G#5), but after that she gets screamish, has pitch problems, and no breath support in the lower voice (something I find absolutely irritating).
Adele is really not a vocalist to me. To be a vocalist, you must have a decent level of skill over your voice just like an instrumentalist has over his or her instrument. Singer absolutely, vocalist no.

I think that makes sense. I don't know if I think Kelly is ahead in the first half of that octave, or around G#4 - C5), because I think of that as Celine's best belting area and not something that stands out for Kelly. I would have to listen to some clips of Kelly belting to double check. I definitely agree that she's better far better in the top half. And I had Celine above (slightly) partially because of Kelly's issues with lower register; I feel like penalizing more for simply being a non-presence in an entire register. It is rather slight either way you do it; both of their flaws are numerous enough that it seems to matter more what things you emphasize.
And I agree that Adele is not a vocalist. As I said; she's a poor man's Dusty Springfield.
