She was trying to capitolize off of the success of Superbass that's why she steered the boat from all rap & no features to half rap and half pop loaded with features. The reason she loaded up features on the rap side was because she knew people would scuff. When you see Nas, Cam'ron, and Young Jeezy on your album you're thinking 'wow this is gonna be hip hop' Nicki also was going to release it in February, but changed the date to get the rest of features. That's what I think.
