I would say they're iconic.

In NYC at least, I see a lot of variation of that heel-less shoe and that McQueen crab claw heel ever since Bad Romance/Fame Monster era when she rocked them. I reckon if she never came out with those, it would've just been considered another high fashion oddity and never trickled down to the masses in a cute but otherwise knock-off'd fashion.

I guess so. Although, any form of outlandish fashion these days tends to be considered "so Gaga", so I don't know.
