It makes sense that they'd follow an amended BTW style campaign.

Having two lead singles allows her to benefit from fan support twice before it drops off post-album, it builds up hype to help bring in a big debut and obviously allows the tour to end beforehand to give her proper time to promote.

As long as they don't chose a bad second single that kills momentum or release promo singles that confuse everything, they'll be fine.

Plus, if they're clever with the 2 volumes (assuming they're still doing that), they can address the campaign longevity problem by releasing the second volume when the era needs a boost in Q4 or early 2014.

I want Gaga to announce the single on Christmas Day, shoot the video in January, release the song towards the end of January and then do whatever promo she can. Hopefully if the song does well, she can release the video in mid February.

I just realised - with the tour schedule, if the lead single is released Q1, she will be filming the video in the December/ January break. And if she does we will probably hear somehow. So if no tea is spilled in the next few weeks, no single Q1.

That's what I'm hoping for too.

I wish she'd just put out a single before the NA leg, but it looks more and more doubtful as time goes. She doesnt even talk about the single.
