Nicki Minaj Tells HOT 97 Not to Play Her Music Anymore
In what seems to be a teeter-totter relationship, Nicki Minaj and New York’s HOT 97 are butting heads once again. After reestablishing their relationship during the annual Summer Jam concert, Nicki is now blaming the station and radio show host Peter Rosenberg for her very poor album sales, therefore she doesn’t want the station playing her music anymore.
After comments made by Rosenberg a few months ago, Nicki says her career has suffered a severe backlash from loss of fans to the 36K opening sales of The Re-Up. HOT 97′s Program Director, Ebro, has stepped in to give a more clear explanation and even share the phone call between himself and Minaj.
“I said, ‘Rosenberg ruined Nicki Minaj’s career’ – evidence suggests based on this Re-Up release, the things [Rosenberg] said about her being pop and selling out and making that pop music came back to haunt her,” he said. “Now, she puts six rap records on this album and it didn’t sell…I get the phone call, the international number pops up, I answer the call, it’s my friend Nicki Minaj, who then starts to proclaim how I’m fake. She used every woman’s stab she could – ‘I thought you were a man, you’re a cornball, I thought we were friends, you’re fake, everyone told me you were fake’…I said, ‘Nicki, I’m helping you. I’m keeping you in the Hip Hop conversation. This Hip Hop thing’s a competition; you’re either ringing, or you’re not, and just like I said yesterday, i love you, boo and I’ll dust you off and make sure this thing is popping off again.’ And she goes, ‘Don’t ever play my music again’…of course we are [still playing Nicki Minaj], I love Nicki Minaj.”
She messed it up herself with Roman Reloaded, a piece of **** album that ruined her standing with the GP
The Re Up however is a great ****ing album and if she tacked on a few more songs and released it as her second LP instead of PF:RR she would have had good 3rd album sales

what kind of unprofessional journalism? She never said that Hot 97 said Rosenberg was the reason for her sales being "low"
Personally I think the reason it didn't sell was because it was a re-release and EP's don't sell that much anyway, especially for an album that didn't do too well to begin with. Not to mention it's still carrying the Pink Friday name. She needs to ditch Pink Friday.

Definite LIE. I hope she sues. Tarnishing her name for some attention.
