The title is misleading. His jail time is for threatening to kill them with a tow chain, not for taunting the girl. I don't think you can get jail time just for making fun of someone. That's against freedom of speech.

He made a threat. And politicians hate on gays and pastors say they should die out and dont get put in jail. Those are considered freedom of speech.

these are two completely different situations. homosexuality has nothing to do with disability in any case. and it wasn't a threat, he made fun of her. he pretended to limp and made a crude gesture and basically called her a retard, there was no threat. and you point out politicians and pastors, who are more well known in society in general therefore wouldn't be punished like most people. this clearly was not a well known person in his community just a man making fun of a girl getting on a bus.

you do bring up a valid point, jail may have been a harsh punishment, but honestly if you're going to do this to a little girl the way he did he deserves to be punished in some way for it.
