Plus, the entire BMW series aired on Disney Channel after it ended, so its not like they can't be a little risky, which BMW really only was a LITTLE risky. At its heart it was a wholesome family show.

It will make a huge difference though. The audiences are completely different so the humor will be watered down now. It was a family show but it still managed to be clever and not overly cheesy. Rewatching it again they had a lot of subliminal jokes that you only get when you're older.
I always imagined a How I Met Your Mother type spin off for this. The true fans have grown up now, it's time for the show to grow with them. We don't care about their daughter's life, we care about the old cast.
