In all honesty if you have the money and you don't give tips to hardworking waiters I say you're pretty cheap. I always give tips, especially to cute pizza boys. I mean if they deliver your delicious pizza outside in the freezing cold with their scooters, they sure do deserve some extra money with the minimum ass wage they get. Unless a waiter or whatever is rude and is doing no good at all, I could imagine one not giving a tip, but it's just about the gesture. Don't be a cheap brat
Uh, why should I give them a tip? It's not my fault they're in a minimum wage job. Also, I have never met anyone in my life who tips and they're all nice people. Must be cause I'm in Australia..
We don't have the same social norms here in the UK. If we have a small amount of change we leave it as a tip if it's over £2.10 we keep it. Generousity isn't a thing here
You should tip something. I mean even if the service was terrible atleast leave a dollar. Servers get paid hardly anything and they're on their feet all day, carrying food back and forth, serving 4 or more tables every 30 mins. It can be a tough job so the least you can do is give them a tip. It doesn't have to be like 10 dollars or more. A good 3-4 dollars is always a decent amount of 10-15% of your ticket price.
Trust me, tipping goes a long way in return when you want something!
I can't at these people that would seriously go to a restaurant in the US and not leave any kind of tip. Have you guys actually done this in practice? I would be so embarrassed to be seen with you.
You will never know how appreciated tips are until you work in a tipping business...whatever that tipping business may be. It's a gratuity for a job well done. It's not expected, but, it is appreciated. Trust me, if you have never worked in a tipping industry up until now, and you somehow end up in one in the future, you will totally change your tune about tipping.
