True...to a point. Her trajectory isn't the greatest but let's not forget 40K off from a 200K opening isn't that bad especially for an R&B album. Yes, Alicia has had some outstanding success in the past but as we all know and have seen -- Nelly Furtado -- one isn't able to sell off of their name alone anymore. So while 160K isn't the best, I'm definitely not distraught over it.

To be honest, I used to love her first two albums and a lot from AIA but her last effort was too watered down and GOF seems the same to me. I have no interest in the album and it seems I'm not the only one.

Her decline is alarming though. It's a hint that the more Pop route she has been going from No One on is not selling her albums.

But what about Drake? He had a hit song with Nicki before the album came out. He still managed to have a huge opening.

Exactly what I wanted to say. Yes, RnB is dead but I also think Alicia's first stans were just not fond of the pop direction she took in AIA and has been pursuing with her last two records.
