The doctors are out… of a job. The CW has euthanized its little-seen, critically panned medical soap Emily Owens, M.D., TVLine has confirmed. The Mamie Gummer-fronted drama debuted to just 1.7 million total viewers and a 0.5 demo rating last month — well below time slot predecessor Ringer‘s launch numbers, yet admittedly facing stiff competition in the second presidential debate and the American League Championship Series. A CW insider says the show will complete its 13-episode run.

Arrow is doing well and propped up their Wednesday. Weds and Thurs are the only things saving them haha

And if they didn't have those they would have sunk after so many shows have flopped.

I knew this would happen. Ironic I'm reading this after watching the latest episode! I really loved this show, it was a different, cute take on doctor shows.

Never cared to watch this particular show, but I genuinely wish The CW would do better overall.

All the networks are not as good as they used to be but CW seems to be lacking something.
Though i do like the show you mentioned i hope they don't cancel that too.

And yet Gossip Girl and 90210 have remained on the air for YEARS with virtually the same ratings?

I understand GG had a decent amount of cultural impact back in 07/08 (and created at least 3 viable stars out of Lively and Meester), but what did 90210 EVER do to remain on this long?
