it's a pretty normal thing to snow in Germany, but when it happens, it's still kinda chaotic every time. streets get blocked and traffic is a mess, it's so annoying how authorities are never able to handle it properly

Snow is common here. But it infuriated me when I was in highschool and we had a couple of feet of snow and still had to go to school and then you hear about a town 4 hours from where I live that cancels school after an inch of snow fell

Norway's the best country in the world.

In Canada it depends on where you live. I live in Ottawa so we do get a lot during storms and schools close when there's around 30cm on the roads but when it's lower they only cancel buses. They also get canceled if there's a lot of freezing rain but I've never seen a school get cancelled cause of it being too cold. I've gone in - 25 celsius and less before. in 2008 the snow from every storm stayed on the ground until April and the piles by people's driveways were more than 2 and a half meters.

Oh and the Weather Network for Ottawa is calling for 25-35 centimeters on December 9th and 10th.

In the Northeast, snow is such a bitch. Driving in it sucks. I do love that it cancels classes for me though.

It never snows in Lima, Peru. The strangest thing is that it's summer when we are on Christmas, yet all the decoration and customs have as its main theme spending Christmas in a cold, snowy weather.

The last time it snowed, my city came to a standstill.

Nothing happens. Some people forget to drive the first couple of times though. Personally, I get annoyed when it snows. It's a giant pain in the ass.

In the past schools didnt really close here but recently we've been getting more snow each year and most schools shut. I remember last year after the snow the paths were all frozen and still quite covered in snow, and my school opened. We had to walk in the ice and snow to my high school which was a downhill walk and everyone kept falling over, it was a mess

It does. Very very much in Scotland, Northen England and a lot in Wales and a bit in southerns parts. Also keep in mind there is less snow in bigger cities, even if they are more northern parts of the country.

Canada + Norway are pretty alike when it comes to temperature, weather and nature I've heard! I can't remember when anything was cancelled at all here...everyone is ready with their winter-tires lol
