Not all of us have snow in our countries, but most of us got at least some of it.
Here in Norway schools are open as long as the snow is possible to walk through, like about 50 cm. And we have to stay in school unless it's lower than -15*Celsius or -20*C outside OR 13*C inside.

How is your country when it comes to snow? Does schools get closed like in the US? And is it like "omg it's snowing like omg" when the first snow comes or are you like "nothing special"? Share your snow stories

Portugal barely "knows" snow. Even in North it doesn't snow that much, just sometimes. Since the biggest part of the population lives in Lisbon (center) we don't have snow that much, if ever. I remember we did once but it was just like for 2 hours if much. it was like two years ago the first time I grabbed snow with my own hands, just for you to see it.

Nevertheless people get happy when it snows

It like never snows where I live and if it does it's llike 3-5 inches and everyone freaks out. Schools shut down for a day or two and they tell everyone to stay off the roads lol.

oh please. up north in NY, Illinois, Ohio and all of them, it's considered a normal day when it's snowing like crazy unless it's a blizzard.

way down south where the sun likes make people's lives miserable, if it gets even below 77 degrees people are having jackets on thinking it's turning into a new Ice Age, it just depends on where in the world you live.

It's normal when it happens here, sometimes the schools are closed depending on how much it snows, people usually stock up on supplies so they won't have to go out just yet to get food or anything. They dig out their cars and whatnot.


I personally dislike snow tbh.

We don't get snow in Brazil, maybe 30 minutes of snow every 3 years in some south states.

People always freak out in the UK as if it's a way bigger deal than it is. Although, I live in a small town near the countryside so our school gets closed quite a lot if it's been snowing and it's possible that some people may be snowed in or can't get home from school.

In Canada (at least where I live) young people get really excited when it snows a lot because we haven't had snow on the ground for 2 years already. Hopefully this winter that changes.

In my part of NC when there's even a chance of snow,they close the schools down,though there have been times where early delays and early closings have been handed out.Once in '05,there was less than 1 inch on the ground and cars were in pile ups on the freeway.It was a mess.

The worst was the infamous Ice storm of 2002,school was closed for at least four days.
