No, they can not. The reality of the situation is that most straight men don't GAF about Beyonce. All they know is she's gorgeous and they wanna **** her. They can probably name 2 or 3 songs of hers if they really tried. Same goes for any other artists discussed on ATRL. The outside world isn't as in tune with music as we are, and that's something most ppl here don't understand.
No. Her music has not impacted the straight guy audience memorably enough. They might be able to name Single Ladies and maybe DIL. The straight guys might have tip-of-the-tongue phenomenon with Irreplaceable where they can identify the melody but fail to recognize it by name.
I think a black straight man (particularly the ones in the U.S.) will easily know more Beyonce songs than a white American straight man will. Beyonce has massive urban appeal and she and Jay are A++ list in black music so its more than likely a bm will easily be more familiar with B or DC songs than a wm who doesnt listen to hip hop/r&b music.
