Why Katy Perry is a better singer than Whitney Houston

Whenever someone dies early, the press has a tendency to overinflate their accomplishments. That being said, whitney houston was no doubt a great performer. However, she is not an all time great, as the press is portraying her.
When one takes a simple look at modern star Katy Perry’s success, one can see that she has clearly exceeding the entire career of whitney houston. Perry has already had eight number one songs versus the total of seven that whitney houston had for her entire career.
Whitney houston’s singing career was over and Katy Perry’s career is still going strong. Songs like TGIF/last friday night, California girls, Tennage dreams, etc are already regarded as among the greatest songs of all time. Teenage dreams is a far more vocally powerful song than I will always love you by whitney houston.
The voice of Katy Perry is much stronger than whitney houston’s ever was. And her live performances have already exceeded the total revenue that whitney houston had for her entire career.
This is just one example, but clearly shows that Katy Perry is a superior talent and more commercial success than whitney houston ever was. Katy Perry is not killing herself with drugs and seems unlikely to die an early death. It was sad the way houston ruined her life, but her career, while stellar, is not one of the greatest by a female vocalist!
