Label scrapped Carly Rae's music video for being "too sexy"
This video was filmed BEFORE the worldwide success of Call Me Maybe. This is what the era was supposed to be. Interscope decided to ride off the success of Call Me Maybe and give her a teenager vibe.
Quote:
Filmed: 5 June 12.
Director: Colin Minihan.
Single Released: 2 May 12 on 604 Records (Canada)*.
Rumor has it that this video was shelved because it was "too sexy" for her new tween demographic. When Carly gained fame worldwide from Call Me Maybe, her Canadian record label 604 Records scrapped the plan for a music video as well.
But wait..this is her best video
I got mind****ed when they showed all the doors and the rooms but still, her best. The new version of the song is 50 x better though
She's ****ing 26, older than Rihanna. How tha hell is that too sexy? Britney came out wit TOXIC when she was 23. dlkfjd;lasfjd Legend X came out with Dirty when she was 22.
They might as well use this song as the next single. It's the most accessible song off her album after Call Me Maybe and Good Time. Just edit the video slightly to get rid of the "sexual" parts
No surprise. I think the whole era was completely changed after the tremendous success of ''Call Me Maybe''. Not sure but I think the label wanted to release the album instead of the ''Curiosity EP'' first, but after the success, ''Good Time'' was chosen as the 2nd single and the full-length album was pushed back.

The sexual part is the best part though. She looks hot!
The whole music video is based off an "affair". Without the sexual parts, the music video would have no plot
