Sorry but i am not having my 11 year old get her ears pierced and look like a clown in public with the big bird yellow hair.
They can and should express themselves but they are still a kid and this is a bit extreme.

And if they want to shave their heads fine. I think the people commenting are saying that while kids should have their own identity letting them do whatever they want at such a young age is not a good idea.

I agree with her point to some extend and it does help that she expresses it so eloquently. But there needs to be boundaries, a 11 y.O girl can't have the right to do what she wants, now cutting her hair is really not a big deal.
