A lot of my friends generally would never continue a relationship with their exs after they breakup, and I really don't agree with that stance. There was obviously a connection prior to dating, and there would be no reason for me to discontinue all contact with him after we breakup. I guess I don't understand the fact that there's a point of no return, but still.
Are you friends with your ex-boyfriends and/or ex-girlfriends? Do you stop all contact with them after you breakup? Does it depend on the circumstances of the breakup? Why or why not?
Wow, strange that this thread turns up when my ex from 4 years ago just texted me to drop off some of my clothes. We were friends for awhile after but he f-ed it up and keeps being flirty with me, ew.
It's nearly impossible to maintain a decent friendship with an ex! I'm still on speaking terms with most of my exes, and I'm friends with a few on Facebook, but we rarely ever talk. It's pretty awkward. I always like to remain friends when it ends, but it never works out like that.
