I am certainly less knowledgeable about dancing than I am about vocals, but I know that dancing has its own standards for technical acumen, and I know that it would be possible to watch a pop star's dancing and decide if she's talented. I don't know how any reasonable person could watch, say, Paula Abdul in 1990 and not be able to tell that she was an incredibly talented dancer and then watch Whitney two-steppin' it and be able to tell that dancing wasn't really her forte.

It may be your opinion, but so long as it is an opinion on a matter of fact, someone can be wrong.

Talent is OBJECTIVE. It doesn't matter if you try hard to see something that doesn't exist. You have it or you don't. Plain and simple. Period.

Yes and no.

Whether someone has a large vocal range, five octaves ect. is not and it signifies talent. But someone can not have those things and people can still think they have a good voice and that they are talented.

You can tell the difference between a good vocalist and a bad one or a good songwriter and a bad songwriter. So no talent is not subjective.
