All the popular kids in my area actually seem to like rap music and none of the pop girls. I always hear the exact same rap beat blaring out of their headphones

The cool kids usually listen to Urban or Rock music honestly. You never hear a popular kid say, "Yeah, you heard that new Britney song?!"

But anyways, out of this list, Rihanna by far. And that's why I love her. She's not one of those Pop stars that cater to just one audience like most of the Pop girls do. She's branded herself as a versatile artist that constantly reinvents herself that anyone can recognize and have at least few songs of hers on their iPod. And straight men love her because she puts out songs that aren't Pop-ish to the point where they sound girly.

And I know alot of cool teenage girls that love Katy Perry and Taylor Swift as well.

Definitely Rihanna. Straight guys are immediately labeled gay if they listen to any of the others.

Rihanna. Most straight "popular" guys listen to urban/hip hop music, and Rihanna has lots of songs like that (even if she's not rapping on them, the songs musically are just like hip hop, for example songs like Hard, Cockiness, Wait Your Turn, Raining Men, Roc Me Out, Talk That Talk, Pour It Up, Phresh Off the Runway, etc.). Plus she collaborates with artists they like a lot.

This is why it's dangerous for Rihanna to do an all dance album. She has a strong advantage over the other pop girls, and she'd lose it all if she did that imo.
