Dillon - 7.5 - Overall, I don't think Ke$ha's videos ever live up to the song (see Die Young video) but your writing sold it. You made a so-so video sound like it was going to be good...until I re watched it. The video fell flat for me and Blow was such a "big" (in terms of production) song so the video should have lived up to that. It's unfortunate you had to change because your first entry was great and very clear while Iggie's explanation didn't settle well.

Ray: 6.5. Seen I had given you a near perfect score with your previous WYWF entry, I loved your description and everything, so I’m actually bummed you’ve changed your flawless entry to this. I’ve always thought Ke$ha’s flawless songs never matches the disappointing music videos. Blow is good, but the unicorns and all that it’s kinda trippy, and I can’t seem to relate to the song’s lyrics, other than having a good time. “

TheSeenScene - 5 - reading your explanation I thought this would be a great entry, but the actual video was rather underwhelming. it seemed quite random to me. the song is about blowing up a party and when I started watching, I thought that's where the video was headed, but instead it was just about Ke$ha and that guy.. I don't get it.

Alexz - 10 - It really is an amazing video, and I like how they mixed this cool and weird Illuminati party with a laser gun fight. That party was definitely blowing up! And I prefer this over your old entry.

Dillon - 7.5 - This video could have been so much better. I love the meaning of the song and it definitely relates to the video with the different perspectives of a "temporary home" and the scene with the grandpa is sad but so cute and heartfelt. I just wish you had more details as to why you chose this because the writing was included and judged. I said 1 to 2 sentences but they needed to be well explained sentences. I also don't think it's anything special especially with the parts with Carrie with the snow....they look cheesy. Overall, I think they're were better choices.

Ray: 6.5. “And I agree MWB, it’s really meaningful, but I would’ve liked you connecting more with the video in your description, as the video proves you could’ve said definitely more about it.”

MWB - 8 - the video visualizes the different stories she tells throughout the song, illustrating the different meanings of a 'temporary home'. it's indeed very meaningful and touching. what's missing for me here a little bit is the wow factor, something that will make you remember the video. it's a bit too ordinary.

Alexz - 10 - I just cried a river, and not because I'm on my man period but because this video is just amazing, it embodies exactly what the song is about. Amazing job!

The music video is a beautiful short film that shows what he wants in the relationship. To be incredibly awesome, MIKA even added a gay couple into the video to show he's not being discriminatory to how love can be shown.

Dillon - 9 - You went with something not well known which was risky but I think you did pretty good with it. It's more of a short film than a music video because there are no scenes of just singing. I don't really care for MIKA but you did well with the theme this round. Nicely done.

Ray: 7. “I’ve always found MIKA’s videos really cheesy, but I can’t argue against your description for the video and give this a bad score, so nicely written down Adam. ”

AdamAL4 - 10 - this is amazing. it's more a film than just a music video, you can tell that the cinematography was well thought out and they really focused on capturing the message of the song. I really like that, as well as the fact that Mika doesn't appear in it himself. it's like he remained off screen so that the viewer can fully focus on audio + video. I also like that they used so many different couples because every relationship is unique, even though they're all based on wanting to make the other person happy. great choice, and also not a safe entry.

Alexz - 10 - A short-film! Me gusta. It really shows what the song is about, devoting your life to someone aing them to be happy.

This is the video that officially made me a Gaga fan. Even though the whole "Fame Kills" and Paparazzi theme has been done numerous times, she still managed to make this video visually interesting. Dillon - 10 - I LOVE this video. The whole "fame kills" idea shined and it just stands out even in GaGa's videography. You backed up the video nicely. My favorite off this tribe for sure. This was the weird GaGa i liked then I don't know what happened. Great.

Ray: 9. “I remember when Paparazzi first came out, I suddenly got a grip of how Gaga’s vision of art was. She was truly creative with everything, and I loved how colorful she did this video for a song I really enjoy. Then she came out with Bad Romance and blew me away. Excellent”

Jolie's Lips - 8 - it's one of the most important videos in pop culture in the last few years, but I feel like maybe she got a bit carried away with it; it's just too much drama for my liking, too self-indulgent, and too much focused on GaGa herself rather than the song. I also think it doesn't fit the song 100%.

Alexz - 8 - This video made me a Gaga fan too! Very controversial and bold, tho I had a hard time judging it because the song has a zillion of meanings (said by Gaga herself), so I ended up realizing that maybe Gaga found that "fame kills" meaning after or during the video shoot, so I will just go with the obvious, not Gaga-esque crazy (and probably the first ) meaning: a girl who falls in love with this boy who's like a star to her and she promise she will always be there (like a Paparazzi) and love him until he loves her back. So, as much as I LOVE this video, I don't think it really shows the true meaning of the song, BUT! I think it's fair to give you a good score since it's really one of Gaga's best!

It is rated one of his best music videos in his career This tells the story of a fan obsessed with Eminem. When his letters are not answered, he puts his pregnant girlfriend in his trunk and drives off a bridge. The song ends with Eminem answering his letter and realizing Stan was the man in the news who drove off the bridge.

Dillon - 10 - This song basically fits the average ATRLer But in all reality, this video is great and psycho...but in a good way. It was an interesting watch. I've never seen it before and it kept my attention so a job well done...as usual.

Ray: 10. “Honestly this were the entries I was expecting, lyrics matching the video completely. Stan tells a story, and the visuals describes it perfectly. One of my childhood videos, even my mom remembers this song and its story when Stan drives off the bridge with her gf on the trunk.Flawless.”

iLukey - 10 - I've always been impressed with this video ever since I first saw it back then. it portrays the lyrics and atmosphere of the song so well, they basically turned the song into a short film and having Dido play in it made it even more perfect. it's dark and disturbing and I feel like it makes the song even more dramatic and impactful. I don't think anyone who has seen this video will ever forget it.

Alexz - 10 - Finally saw the video of the song that inspired the name of our level of faning, "Stan". I mean yes I am a stan, but not on Stan's level. Anyway, this video is really good, he's really creative, and it definitely shows exactly what the song is about. Great job, iLukey!

This video might be the most creative video all the time and even today people can make a video like this. And also it listed on most of the best video music list everywhere.

Ray: 9. “Obviously one of the best videos of ALL-TIME, and one of the best back in the day. 80’s music videos weren’t actually that great, but its for people like MJ and Peter Gabriel, that the concept of making your music videos great came through. I’m not actually in line with the visuals, and I would’ve loved to describe them for me on your description Adrian, other than that it’s a great video. Weird, bu great.”

Adr - 10 - good Lord, this was so weird/crazy/amazing, I couldn't tear my eyes off of it! at first I was skeptical as to how well this would fit the song, but then I realized they were visualizing the lyrics and I agree with you, they did it in a really creative way. this was also not a foreseeable entry at all, very brave of you to submit it.

Alexz - 10 - Who is this this man and why is he serving the sex anthem of Xtina's generation? I'm in shock! The video is so creative that it makes the song funny but yet sexy, such a great combination tbh, and the best thing about it is that it is the most played video of MTV's history. My favorite ENTRY! Amazing job.

I chose the video not only because I love the song and I'm a P!nk fan, but also because the video perfectly showcases the agressive attitude that the song gives off and P!nk's humorous personality. I think it stands out from other videos, particularly breakup ones, because of the grabbing visuals (driving a lawn mower in L.A. streets, cutting down a tree, getting naked on the red carpet, etc.) and also because through all of the chaos, P!nk still manages to have sentimental moments in there by including her husband in the video and having headlines about their separation move around behind them during the bridge. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJfFZqTlWrQ

Dillon - 10 - Your explanation was really good. Probably the best one out of the bunch. This video just really showed off Pink's personality and it wasn't full of anger it was just a **** the world type of thing and I've seen it a million times and it's still an interesting view. Ray: 9. “Your description alone gave you a great score, as you actually managed to channelize Pink’s actions and emotions with the song lyrics. I do believe Pink always comes with these tacky breakup singles as their lead single from each new album, so the aggressive attitude it’s nothing new, but hey… if it ain’t broke….. “

Stevie - 10 - nice explanation. it is indeed unusual to have your ex in a video about breaking up with him, and that's not the only unique element P!nk came up with for this video. it fits the vibe of the song, that she's not taking herself and the whole thing too seriously while being a little aggressive at the same time, and it's just very P!nk to have such a different and memorable video.

Alexz - 10 - It reallt showcases P!nk's personality, and I like how the video completes the song, cause if you hear it, you would probably think "Yeah, she's over him", but in reality she's trying to convince herself she's over him when she's not, and the video shows that. Looooooove it.

Dillon - 8 - Ok, you could have easily gotten a 10 had you explained like TheSeenScene did with the same entry that he later had to change due to you submitting first. The video is about her doubts on going solo and had you included that in your explanation I would have gaven you a 10. Still, nice choice iggie.

Ray: 6. “As shown with Seen above, I love this entry, but Iggie your description for this was really a let-down. There were so many things to say about WYWF’s visual, and you just said it was creative.”

iggie45 - 10 - very artistic and captivating video with great imagery. I love the whole Alice in Wonderland theme, it's kinda bizarre yet cool and really fits the different aspects of the lyrics. your explanation was not very detailed but the video makes up for it.

Alexz - 10 - I never understood the video and song until now, very original and unique, the song is about her doubts of going solo, and how she tries to convince herself of take the risk "What you waiting for? Just do it!", the video really goes with the song, specially because in the song she kinda implies that she's running out of time, and in the video she's in a world similar to "Wonderland". (The White Rabbit! Tic Toc) Amazing!

Dillon - 8 - This could have been a 10 as well but like iggie, the explanation was all over the place. The video is iconic because it was the debut of what later became Britney Spears and it started the whole bublegum-pop trend in music. Had you said that, I would have awarded you a 10.

Ray:8.5. “Truly iconic, truly remembered, truly flawless. I’m not even a Britney fan, but Spear’s daydream is probably the most remembered music video of the 90’s. The choreography, as you said, has been made by many dance groups, and it truly set the mark for the rest of Spear’s music videos. I really can’t find the relation to the song lyrics though.”

Middle of Selena - 8 - you're right, this video is all kinds of iconic with the high school theme and especially the uniform. but I feel like you forgot to consider how the video relates to the song, because I don't really see a connection apart from that one scene in the gym where her love interest is sitting across from her.

Alexz - 6 - As much as I agree that sometimes a video doesn't needs a deep story line to be amazing, I think you needed exactly that for this round, but good thing is, I really loved the video, she's so creative and unique, and I like the way she transmits with her dancing the emotion behind the song, even if it's about her telling her boytoy how to talk to the soon-to-be-exgirlfriend.

Ray: 6. “I just wanna say before you drag me, I’m in love with Robyn and I think she should get more attention because Body Tal kwas amazing and everything, but I can’t find the relation to the lyrics with the video. Yes, I agree with the description, but this challenge did need a storyline as we needed to connect with the song’s lyrics.”

DripDrip - 10 - performance videos are always tricky because they can be really unspectacular. luckily, that's not the case here, although I had a serious wtf moment when she started to dance. I thought that it wouldn't fit the song because even though it's dance/electronic, it has a sad undertone. but like you mentioned in your explanation, she is really feeling the song and putting emotion into it, and as the video went on I realized that a lot of her dance moves actually reflect/emphasize the lyrics and the different moods she goes through throughout the song, which is genius. I also agree on the light effects. great job

The reason I chose this video is due to the passionate simplicity of it, in which Adele conveys masses of emotion using creative and symbolic imagery to make you empathise with her while remaining sitting in a chair. Dillon - 8.5 - Now this one I actually do see what you are saying. The message was there...just hidden with the imagery as you mentioned. Overall, this isn't the best entry but it's not a bad one either. I'm not sure how well this is going to go down though, Jack.

Ray: 8. “I used to bash Adele’s video because of her simply placing her ass on a chair the whole damn video, but I agree with your description, makes it more meaningful overall, and you’ve actually got a chance to reflect on the passion of Adele’s lyrics.”

Jack. - 5 - I can see where you come from with your explanation, however when I watched the video, I didn't feel quite as impressed by it. I found it to be rather uneventful and a bit bland. the imagery didn't come across to me as very strong, and I wish she wasn't sitting in that chair the whole time, she seems restricted by that. of course she conveys the emotion and vibe of the song through her voice, but the video is there to emphasize that and to recreate the song on a visual level. I didn't feel that here.

Alexz - 6.5 - See, I understand why you picked this video, it has this beautiful imagery that embodies the angry and devastation Adele wanted to transmit with the song, but it's so complex,/hard to understand, and because of that I think most of the people sees it as a "simple video" with Adele "sitting in a char and a Samurai dancing"....for this round I think you needed a video that showcased exactly what the song is about , "Someone Like You" would have worked better.

The Arabian vibe evoked in the string-based beat of the song is reflected in the desert setting. M.I.A's love of playing with contrast is also displayed with the modern day cars next to antiquated walls and buildings, and a horse dramatically galloping next to roaring cars. The MV also fits the lyrics, with M.I.A "badness" on full display when she nonchalantly sits on top of a side-ways moving car or dances in front of bonfires. The lush imagery of the stunt cars and the vibrant desert also serve the MV's needs, and the end result is this strong video. This is a high-point in M.I.A videography, a symbol to the dizzying heights a MV can reach, and a testament to M.I.A skills as a artist.

SyntaxError - 10 - first of all, great in depth explanation, and I agree with everything you said. the song is about girls being badass, female empowerment, and the video represents that perfectly, in typical M.I.A. manner. I also think it's a great effort production wise, the setting, clothes, and especially the cars they used in this are A+.

Alexz - 10 - I love that both the video and song rebels to the idea of the "typcal Arabia Saudi woman", cause I read somewhere that Saudi women are not allowed to drive cars, kind of an empowerment song to those woman. I also like that the video completes the idea of the song! Amazing video. No wonder why it was nominated for MTV'S Video of The Year.

It's fun to watch because they are so synchronized and did it all in ONE take. Of course they practiced, but whatever. I think it's an entertaining and unique video.

Dillon - 7.5 - Great video. I remember seeing this all the time for awhile. Very creative. I do have to take points off though because it doesn't have much to do with the content of the actual song which was one of the key points Danny. Maybe the treadmills going back and forth could have been explained to support the Here We Go Again part.

Ray: 7. “Yup, it’s quite an achievement to do this in one shot, and even though it’s a great feat, and the video itself can even find its way to an iconic placement, I can’t find the relation to the song’s lyrics, no matter how good the song’s video is. I would’ve liked you describing how do you think the threadmills relate to the song.”

ImARudeBoy - 8 - this video is legendary! who even thinks of something like that? I'll never get over it. they executed it perfectly and it's a fun video to a fun song. their band name kinda fits the video, too. it doesn't have much to do with the content of the song, though, so I have to take some points off.

Alexz - 5 - It is a very unique video and fun, no wonder why it went so viral back in the day, but I don't think the video has anything to do with the song (which is about falling in love after a one-night stand), and that was one of the important points of the round.

She looks back on how her life used to be, and the scenes of her and her Boyfriend playing around and just enjoying each others company. As the video progresses the relationship starts to strain and it seems like the honeymoon phase is over. After a fight, Katy has a breakdown while her boyfriend leaves and gets in his car. As he's driving he tries to avoid the rocks in the middle of the road and the car swerves off a cliff. The video cuts back to old Katy and she goes back to the scene where she lost her boyfriend

Dillon - 9 - Everything was adding up to a very nice score until I read the "explanation" which was just a summary of the video. I actually like this video too so I was hoping for just a little bit more but good job Arjun.

BlazingLovatic - 8 - your comment is a summary of the video, not an explanation why you thought it was a suitable entry. it's an alright video, it goes along with the song and I like how Katy plays herself when she is older instead of having an older actress portray her. it's a bit cheesy, though, and there's nothing overly special or memorable about it.

Alexz - 10 - Oh I remember I waiting like 2 months for this video to premiere, it was underwhelming the first time I saw it, but now...I love it, it really goes with the song, a story about a girl who regrets not fighting for the relationship and how she still remembers every moment with him. My favorite scenes where when Diego falls into the cliff (it was so unexpected), and when she goes to the place of the accident and the spirit of him touches her hand. Greta job!

Dillon - 10 - Oh, john the explanation was so cute. You need to stay consistent though because you are all over the palce with your scores. The video has everything to do with the explanation you provided so anyway, great way to come back from another bad round.

johnrm - 9 - I like how your explanation turned into sort of a motivational speech in the end, it shows that the video had an impact on you. it is inspiring and encouraging, symbolizing the message of the song, but in a very literal way. I can't help but feel that the way they used the fireworks is a little awkward, especially when they come out of Katy's.. chest.

Alexz - 10 - My favorite Katy video,it's beautiful, this really shows what the song is about: empowerment, not giving up, being who you are! I remember seeing it for the first time and it made me like the song! and I think that's one of the important points of creating music videos. Great job, John!
