While I may not be so inclined to believe that she'll do anywhere near as well with ARTPOP as she has done in in the past... You can't say something like that with such certainty.

Judas had impressive peaks, it wasn't a WW hit.
I like Katy a lot, and she's always been one of my favorite pop girls, but what I dislike is the notion that she's some omnipotent reborn MJ that is immune from any bumps in her career and is inherently superior to all else. Katy had a #29 single. I didn't shade her for it, I simply contradicted the other person's misguided, false, and very condescending post. I'd be more than content if people would just stop these stupid arguments and learn to like both artists, or at least stop bitching and shading the one they dislike when either has any amount of success.
The fact that Katy can make #2 with Wide Awake in the middle of the summer when she had been playing for two years straight is amazing. While Marry the Night didn't even make top 10 when Gaga performed on a New Years Eve show which has a HUGE audience (22.6 million). It shows that people have grown tired of Gaga, at least the ones in the US have. It will be interesting to see what will happen after both of them take their break preparing for next year.
I love the competition because it makes for an exciting 2013.
There's a world outside ATRL, and people out there are not aware of flop singles that didn't smashed on radio or iTunes. The delusion
