If someone CHOSE YOU to be in a relationship with in the first place then what the hell are you so worried about? If anything, you should feel more secure knowing that out of all the men and women they could have pursued, they chose to pursue YOU. Why does that never count for anything?

We all have our insecurities, nobody's perfect. I WOULD date a bi guy if i was sure he's a good person. But i also think it would be easier for a bi guy to be with a woman since it's more accepted by society and it gave him a lot of privilieges a gay relationship couldn't give him (kids and social acceptance are good examples). I saw this thing happening countless times.
I know not all bi guys are doing it, it would be impossible for a whole group of people to be exactly the same. But when you take that into consideration, i could understand why some gay men would be afraid of the idea of dating bi guys. Is it a good thing? No. But i can understand where that insecurity come from.
