Which God do you believe in ?
Post your opinions on the nature and character (or even existence ) of God and feel free to discuss about your beliefs and those of the others.
People can believe it whatever they want as long as they don't shove it down my throat. I personally believe it is kind of an escape mechanism for people, something to explain what science couldn't back in the day and that it isn't really needed in most cultures anymore. Religion has too much power and wealth, it is wrong. I have also read the bible and I think that if there is a God and he is anything like that God in the OT I wouldn't want to believe, he is cruel, merciless and has given so many people and excuse to be ignorant. I have born agains in my family and to be honest they are a little nutty, calling everything they don't like or understand evil, telling their children that gay people and anyone of any other religion is going to hell, that in my opinion is WRONG. That isn't even starting on how much blood has been shed in the name of one god or another.
Nobody should believe they have the monopoly on truth. I believe in something but I do NOT support organised religion, it leads to hate and intolerance in my experience.
