Examples include goth, punk, steampunk, emo, etc. (I should list less... dark ones but I can't think of any )
I was goth once, but only a little The Distillers were my favorite band, I brushed my bangs (pitch-black hair) over my eyes and I wore skulls all the time I also remember being angry all the time
The "goodie-goodie" phase
The "I'm too cool for everything" phase
Right now I'm at a rebellious phase, I think my life is going downhill very fast. I'm experimenting things I shouldn't do.
When I was 13-15 I was obsessed with Nirvana and rock bands in general so I tried to be a cool rocker chick kind of person Then after that I was obsessed with Fall Out Boy and pop punk bands like that and I just kind of try to pretend that never happened tbh
In middle school I had a house music phase in which I would literally just listen to house music streams on the internet all day. Besides that, I haven't had any significant phases. I've just been listening to pop music for my whole life
Edit: I just realized this wasn't for music. But yeah I was much more feminine years ago than I am now
I listened to heaps of urban music growing up. I used to buy CDs from Snoop Doog, Ja Rule, Chingy and Outkast.
Then when I was 13, that kind of changed. I went through a kind of emo phase where I would be all depressed and listen to metal and screamo bands, like Bullet for My Valentine, Job for a Cowboy, Slipknot etc.
I went through the label ***** phase. Basically buying only things that had Aeropostale, American Eagle, Hollister, etc. plastered all over the clothes.
Luckily, I upgraded. Sometimes I use American Eagle, but not to give them free advertising.
I've been through the Afro phrase, the having braids phase. The too big clothes phase. The Air Force ones phase.
I dress a lot better now. I'm at the phase where I'm just living in the moment and not thinking about what's next: I'm taking it day by day and figuring it along the way.

Omg. That reminds me; I went to a Hollister phase in 5th grade. I wore nothing, but Hollister all year. Everyone thought I was the **** and so did I. Now I realize it was the tackiest **** ever.

OMG I had Ja Rule & I bought Chingy's first album lol. It was like one of my first explicit rap CD's. It was such a bop though.
