OH GEEZ !!!! We all are getting into a "i don t like the song, it s was a bad choice to release it " discussion..WANEGBT gave her her 1st HOT 100 with one of the biggest exposures ever ! Give credits when it s due ! ain t it that hard about her reputation, she was already stereotyped way before WANEGBT ! esp with Love STory, ain t Taylor's stereotype fairytale-ish songs ?!!!
Just go on these boards and you d find many people bought Red because of WANEGBT. At least WANEGBT already did its job, now it s time for Begin Again, I stop calling it a flop because it s not fair, it hasn t peaked yet.

Just keeping it real here Paul Epworth could get it too (haaaayyyy). If she's going to branch out she needs to work with him.

Unapologetic isn't a bad urban album, but it's lyrical content is nowhere near RED
Unapologetic at 3.5 is OK, it deserves that, but RED deserved a 4

She does an amazing job of blending the country and pop sides on songs on this album. Amazing. And that's what she should be known for, that kind of song that perfectly mixes both aspects of her together.
Hey Jeff, I'm stanning for you right now. Do me? Thanks.

Agreed!
I hope she doesn't work with MM again... although I think it's really possible since IKYWT is her favourite song off of RED.

Well if she doesn't want to make the same record again she won't work with him again because LBR he'll start making the same song for her as he does for Katy Perry or whomever else he works for. There's the danger there. But at the same time if she can't get any hits on pop without his help she kind of has to go back to him. GOOD JOB THERE SCOTT.
I just can't shake the feeling she could have gotten a similar, but better result for IKYWT out of other producers but with less...Max Martiny stuff screwing the joint up. It's a great song because of her lyrics and melody and she obviously had a vision on it and MM did a great job interpreting that, but he still does stuff that's just generic and formulaic with the production. The AMA production kind of shows that - it's like DANG it could have sounded like this???? Like you said earlier he's a great *generic* pop producer but there's always something lacking for me in his songs.

Yes, that would be the problem and I think that, that's what's going to happen.
IKYWT is my least favourite song off of RED.
The AMA production ***** on the original.
The original is so meh, it's predictable and not interesting.
She better release a remix for that song.

Does anyone feel like Nathan should focus less on producing Taylor's voice?
With Red having various producers, I noticed the big difference.
I always felt like on the past albums, Taylor's vocals were PERFECT, so perfect that it was weird.
It felt like they were played on a keyboard, but when you hear Red, you notice that her voice doesn't sound like that, specially with the Jeff songs.
For example, in Nathan's productions, you don't hear notes like ''see your face in every crowd.''/''dignity and got the hell out.''
Those strained notes, they sound so raw. I need more of them even though they have flaws.
If Taylor sung those notes and had Nathan as the producer he would've made them sound normal and effortless.
I really like the work with Jeff.

That's not really Nathan but Justin Niebank's mixing there I think. He'd be the one to smooth out Taylor's vocals. Nathan always has Taylor record really raw vocals. I don't think Justin mixed the Jeff Bhasker songs.

AP Interview: Taylor Swift relishes Asian success
AP, Feb 21, 2011 12:42 pm PST
Wrapping up the Asian leg of her world tour, Taylor Swift is relishing her growing international appeal as the singer-songwriter steadily gains fan outside the U.S. with her combination of confessional lyrics and country sound.
Shortly before taking the stage at Hong Kong's AsiaWorld-Expo arena late Monday, the 21-year-old received a long line of Universal Music executives from across Asia who presented her with platinum sales plaques. Swift's previous album, "Fearless" sold 400,000 copies in the region. Her latest release, "Speak Now," is also performing well, achieving platinum status in Taiwan, South Korea, Indonesia and the Philippines.

I would assume those are all certified for Fearless too but I don't have any sources to confirm that
