Katy is being honored next week, Nov. 30 in NYC for being Billboard's Woman of the Year. I hope she gets the magazine cover soon and we get an interview. We need hear what she's got planned for this album
Katy got snubbed at the NRJ Music Awards, they love playing her songs but they don't even nominate her (Alicia Keys is nominated while she has just made her come back ).

"Wide Awake" happened to be released as part of her movie "Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D" which was released in July. The main interpretation of this song most people believe is that it's about the aftermath of the end of her marriage from actor and comedian Russell Brand. The equally incredible video details her "falling from cloud nine" but in the end of it being what the title says, "Wide Awake". Katy, who is more known for fun, bubble-gum esque songs like "California Girls" and "I Kissed A Girl", hit a nerve with fans and critics alike with this song.

I think she's coming for that Best Pop Solo Grammy this year. It doesn't look very competitive from the list of submissions I've seen...
I kinda don't want her to win though. If she gets all 5 of her submission this year, she's only about 4 nominations from holding the record for most noms without a win!!
