I'm writing a research paper in my English 101 Class and I'm having trouble coming up with a Thesis.. I'm wanting to write about a topic related to the pop music world but I can't think of anything that I could write about.. What are some issues currently in the pop music world I could possibly write about? Any help is welcomed, thanks

Do people care about the messenges behind songs and videos?

The phenomenon of one hit wonders who aren't able to have an average consistent career after their hits.

You should write about how pop is PUBLICLY dominated by women but most of the work, the writing, producing, and management is done by males.

This, of course, also applies to women who have more "control" over their careers because generally even if they co-write and or co-produce, their partners are more likely to be men.

I did one of how technology changed the music world. It's actually really interesting, I'd recommend looking into the topic

You can talk about the phases of generic styles pop music has covered, like it's gone from pop/rock to disco to pop techno to pop and r&b to hip hop to punkish rockish to just plain r&b and hip hop to dance electronic to a more alternative sounding pop.

Like pop's sound has moved to what's popular through the times, something like that. It's an interesting topic.
